James is a country boy at heart, having grown up in the small towns of Deniliquin and Albury where he played various sports and music. He now calls Melbourne home, holding a double Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine and Exercise Science (Victoria University).
At the age of 15, James ruptured his AC joint playing AFL and wasn’t able to have reconstructive surgery until a year later. During that tricky period, he would have loved to have someone (like himself now!) to help coach him through recovery and encourage him to play football again.
While the injury sadly marked the end of his footy career, it inspired him to dedicate himself to the health and fitness industry in which he’s gained six years of experience in nutrition, personal training and exercise programming. He hopes his personal passion for health and nutrition inspires others and enables them to achieve short term goals and lifelong changes.
